About me
Hey there! I'm Cesar Peralta, a self-taught Mexican artist. If we haven't crossed paths before, let me share a bit about my artistic journey and why I'm head over heels for painting.
Born on May 30, 1983, I started my art adventure early, coloring walls with crayons, then exploring a spectrum of mediums from watercolor to digital art in university.
Around four years ago, I decided to merge these disciplines, crafting hybrid artworks. I begin by digitally illustrating, then print on materials from canvas to metal. In my studio, I dive into the joy of painting, spending hours dancing with colors. Afterward, I bring it back to the digital realm, animating the piece. Thanks to Artivive, you can experience augmented reality through your phone or tablet. Yeah, it's a lot of work, but it's a blast!
Art hasn't always been my full-time gig. I studied industrial design and worked in printing and advertising after graduating. Mixing my digital creations with unconventional materials was a game-changer.
For years, I juggled office life and art, sometimes as a hobby, sometimes full-time. But balancing two masters was draining, and I wasn't thriving in either. In 2019, after a trip with my partner, I decided to go all-in on art, and it's been a whirlwind of growth and creation since. Do you see the evolution?
Art has been my emotional outlet. It's where I pour out my feelings, from life's challenges to moments of joy. Sharing these pieces on social media and at events has led to amazing conversations with people who connect with my work. Art, for me, is a form of therapy—like group therapy, haha!
But it's not all serious. Some creations are just for fun, beauty, humor, or even critique. Humans are complex, and I love exploring the kaleidoscope of our emotions and experiences.
